18 feb 2009

On Wednesday, we brainstorm out new ideas. First we state what we want to do on, what information we want to highlight, what is the atmosphere of the exhibit, what we want them to experience. Then we decide to work on the different wedding gown worn during the the 12 days. Informations we want to highlight will be how do they wear the clothes, what are the motifi on the clothes and how do they make the clothes. Then we thought of making using curve lines to show the femine look of the woman, we will then seperate the room into 2 with batik sarongs a acting as a divider. At one side it will be showing the process of how the gown is made, then the other side will be the showcase of the gown. At the showcase of the gown we will show the meaning of the motif and how they actually wear the gown using interactive media.

Mr andrew's comment was that the idea do not have a "backbone" to have the whole thing as a connection. We need to create a new experience for the visitors. We will need to break rules and think about the visitors. Will they be tired after thinking and doing all the interactive parts will there be too much informations for them to absorb? How do we engage the people? We were also told to look into different kinds of museum.
